We've been nominated for the Outstanding Customer Service award by our guests; past brides and grooms that we've had the pleasure of seeing married at Holdsworth House. What better recommendation is there?
The nomination comes in a bumper year for Holdsworth House. In April the hotel received confirmation from The AA (the official star rating accreditation scheme) of an upgrade to four star status - the first and only four star hotel in Halifax. Plus we've also reached he finals of the prestigious White Rose Awards in the Small Hotel of the Year category. We're awaiting the outcome of the awards, which includes a mystery shop from at least one of the judges.As if that wasn't enough, our guests have been so pleased with the service at Holdsworth House that their positive Tripadvisor reviews have pushed the hotel into the top 10 of all 662 hotels in Yorkshire. We're up there with Rudding Park and Swinton Park - nice properties to be ranked alongside thank you very much. Enough gloating, it really isn't genteel.
Travel does what good novelists also do to the life of everyday, placing it like a picture in a frame or a gem in its setting, so that the intrinsic qualities are made more clear. Travel does this with the very stuff that everyday life is made of, giving to it the sharp contour and meaning of art.
